Nagar Kirtan in Fatehgarh Sahib: The three-day annual Shaheedi Jor Mel held in the memory of Younger Sahibjadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji concluded on Sunday with religious ceremonies and Nagar Kirtan. A huge "Nagar Kirtan" was initiated from Gurudwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib to Gurudwara Sri Jyoti Swarup Sahib after performing the "Ardas" by Bhai Harpal Singh head Granthi Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib. Also Read | Whereabouts of Indian broadcaster Harnek Singh Neki are still unknown Panj Piaras led the Nagar Kirtan, school bands, Gatka Parties, Nihang Singhs, Kirtani Jathas, Sukhmani Sahib Sewa Societies, and other social, religious, and political leaders accompanied the Nagar Kirtan in Fatehgarh Sahib. The attraction of the Nagar Kirtan was the skills of martial arts performed by Nihang Singhs and Gatka parties while lakhs of devotees accompanied the Nagar Kirtan that covered a 2 km distance in 4 hours. Giani Raghbir Singh Jathedar Keshgarh Sahib performed the concluding Ardas at Gurudwara Sri Jyoti Swarup Sahib. As Saheedi Jor Mel concluded, Giani Harpreet Singh reminded the Sikhs how the “Sikh religion” was formed after great sacrifices. He said no struggle or agitation can be successful by deserting the religion. He further urged everyone to pray for the success of farmers and said they will definitely succeed as they are following the principles of Sikhism. -PTC News
