Global Kabaddi League Kicks Off in Jalandhar; Watch full match here
The Global Kabaddi League under ‘Tandarust Punjab Mission’ on Sunday began with a great pomp and show. The Sports Minister Punjab Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi inaugurated the mega sporting event at the local Surjit Hockey Academy Stadium, Jalandhar.
The first match of Global Kabaddi League was played between Singh Warriors (Punjab) and Haryana Lions. Singh Warriors record a 45-42 victory over Haryana Lions in a close match.
The Sports Minister said that the Global Kabaddi League is organized to uplift the level of sports in Punjab. They want to promote sports to channelize the unbound energy of youth in a positive way. He also thanked NRIs for coming forward and boosting the sports activity in Punjab.

Much awaited action packed Global Kabaddi League 2018 began on Sunday. The tournament will conclude on November 3. Global Kabaddi League received unprecedented participation from various parts of the globe.
Six major teams, Maple Leafs (Canada), Delhi Tiger (India), Singh Warriors Punjab (India), Haryana Lions (India), Delhi Tiger (India), California Eagles (USA), and Black Panther (USA) are participating in this event.
The winning team of Global Kabaddi League will get a prize money of Rs 1 Crore. The team in the second place will get Rs 50 lakhs. The team that will come third will get Rs 25 lakhs.
