Google dedicates doodle to Amrish Puri on his 87th birth anniversary

Google is celebrating Bollywood Veteran Actor Amrish Puri's birthday by dedicating a Doodle to him. Amrish Puri would have turned 87 on Saturday. He was one of the most-anticipated villains in the history of Indian Cinema. The actor is best known for his role of Mogambo in the superhit film Mr. India, 1980 which featured him along with Sridevi and Anil Kapoor. The most popular dialogue of Amrish Puri from the film Mr. India was "Mogambo Khush Hua". The veteran actor has played several other prominent roles in the films like Gadar Ek Prem Katha, Damini and several others. Amrish Puri has done several other genres, out of which one of the best was from film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, in which he was playing the character of Kajol's character Simran. Amrish Puri's role in Karan Arjun is also remembered. Also, the veteran actor worked in some international projects as well. Amrish Puri was featured in Steven Spielberg's Hollywood film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984 too. The interesting fact is that despite being a Bollywood actor he has worked in films if several other languages like Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil as well. Amrish Puri passed away on 12 January 2005, at P. D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. This was the day when the Bollywood industry lost its legendary actor. -PTC News
