The farmers on Saturday organised a ‘kisan mahapanchayat’ in Chandigarh at Rally Ground of Sector 25. Farmer leaders Joginder Singh Ugrahan of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) (Ekta Ugrahan), Ruldu Singh Mansa of the Punjab Kisan Union and Gurnam Singh Charuni of BKU (Haryana) were present during the event. Thousands of people from every corner, including Panchkula, Ambala, Zirakpur, Banur, Landran, Kharar, Kurali, Ropar, Mullanpur, Fatehgarh Sahib and villages of Mohali and Chandigarh, attended the mahapanchayat.
