Gujarat: In a major incident, a teenage girl committed suicide in Chharanagar area of Ahmedabad after her boyfriend leaked their intimate video, the police officer stated on Tuesday. As per the report, the 16-year-old girl hanged herself from the ceiling of her house on a Monday evening.
Her boyfriend leaked their intimate video
According to the information, the boyfriend of the deceased had leaked their intimate video to his three friends after which the video was circulated further. Meanwhile, the girl's parents had registered a complaint against her boyfriend as soon as they came to know about the leak on February 29.
The girl was depressed
The Inspector of Sardarnagar police station, Hemant Patel, said in a statement that the girl was dealing with the depression after her video got leaked. On Monday evening, she ended her life.

The video was shot with each other's consent
Hemant added that the girl and her boyfriend had filmed an intimate video with each other's consent. However, the boyfriend leaked it to his friends.
Boyfriend and his three friends booked
Meanwhile, the boyfriend has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Likewise, his three friends have been charged under the Information Technology Act for circulating the video. The Inspector stated that three of the four accused have been arrested.
