Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) from Gurdaspur Sunny Deol on Monday responded to the haters after posters were slated in Pathankot declaring him as ‘missing’. One such poster that popped up near a railway station in Deol’s constituency read: “Gumshuda ki talash MP Sunny Deol (Search for missing MP Sunny Deol)”.

Soon after the matter was highlighted, the 63-year-old actor-turned-politician took to social media to address it. “I heard that some of my haters have come up with new ways to malign my image,” said Sunny Deol in the video posted on facebook.

He added that “Opposition parties should work together to resolve the problems of people. My office is currently working to resolve the traffic issues in the city. Wish you all a happy Lohri.” Furthermore, he said that “I know traffic jam is a very big issue in Pathankot. I myself have been a victrim of it. The government sanctioned money for building a flyover to ease the pain of the commuters.”

The poster controversy erupted after an appointment of personal assistant last year to ensure ‘smooth flow of work’ during his absence from Gurdaspur. Sunny Deol had ensured a smooth flow and execution of work.
