Happy Birthday Zaheer Khan: Indian pacer Zakky is celebrating his 41st birthday on Monday, October 7. The former cricketer played all forms of cricket for the Indian National team from 2000 to 2014. Zippy was the second-most successful Indian fast bowler in Test cricket after Kapil Dev. Khan began his domestic career playing for Baroda. He was known for his seam and pace in the early years of his career, especially the fast, inch-perfect Yorkers. In 2006, Zaheer Khan moved to England for a short period with Worcestershire to improve his bowling. The left-arm fast-medium bowler was best known for his ability to move the ball both ways off the wicket and swing the old ball at a limited pace. Also, Zippy played for Worcestershire in County Cricket and for Mumbai, Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League. Khan has the record of dismissing Graeme Smith, Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya and Matthew Hayden over 10 times in International cricket. Zippy mastered the reverse swing with the old ball and is heavily praised for his performance on flat subcontinent pitches. He could control different kinds of cricket balls. He was one of the key members of the 2011 World Cup-winning team, leading the fast attack with 21 wickets in nine matches during the tournament.
