Harsimrat Kaur seeks Amit Shah's help for return of Sikhs from Nanded Sahib

Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Wednesday thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah for speaking to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to fast track the repatriation of Sikh devotees. Harsimrat Kaur Badal took to Twitter and wrote: "Came to Delhi to meet HM Amit Shah Ji & thank him for speaking to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray today to fast track repatriation of Sikh devotees stranded at Hazur Sahib. Now, request Punjab government to give permission to buses arranged by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for 3 days to bring them back home at earliest." Around 2,000 devotees stranded at the historic Gurdwara Hazur Sahib in Maharashtra's Nanded due to the coronavirus lockdown announced by the Prime Minister of India. The first lockdown ended on April 14, however, the PM announced the extension of lockdown till May 3. I have spoken to Maharashtra Chief Secy and he has told me that directions have been issued in this regard. I am grateful to the combined efforts of governments who acceded to the plea of the stranded devotees." -PTC News
