Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has raked up a controversy over his remark after the revoking of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. He said,"Now we can bring Kashmiri girls for marriage". While addressing the State-level function of Maharishi Bhagirath Jayanti Samaroh at Fatehabad, he said, our minister Dhankhar Ji used to say that we need to bring daughters-in-law from Bihar if the number of girls reduces in Haryana and the number of boys increases. The controversial statement was, "Now people say that since Kashmir is open, we can bring girls from there". Later, he said, Jokes apart, if there is a balanced (sex) ratio, the society will be balanced. Likewise, the Tweeple took this statement and slammed Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. A twitter user Ashok Swain said, "India's Sanghis are planning to use Kashmiri women as Sex Slaves!". Another user MisStree came in support and said, "Khattar didn't say that. He is misquoting him. He said people used to joke that due to bad sex ratio in Haryana we will bring brides from Bihar. Now, they joke, we will bring from Kashmir. He said it was his measures that brought sex ratio up from 870 to 933 and not these jokes."
