Internet Suspension in Haryana: Violence had erupted at the Red Fort and a major clash occurred between Delhi Police and Farmers yesterday during the tractor march in Delhi on Republic Day 2021. Haryana has extended the suspension of internet and SMS services in Sonepat, Palwal and Jhajjar districts by 24 hrs. The officials said, only voice calls will be available. Delhi Police in a press conference today said that they have arrested 19 people and detained 50 people so far in connection with 25 cases they have registered over Tuesday’s violence.

The farmers have been protesting against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
