Haryana Rains: Three killed in Gurugram building collapse; govt announces ex-gratia
Haryana Rains: In a major incident, three people were killed while one was severely injured in a Gurugram building collapse following heavy rainfall. The incident took place in Khawaspur village Gurugram on Sunday night after heavy rains. Meanwhile, the Haryana Government on Tuesday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the kin of those who lost their lives in the Gurugram building collapse. It may be recalled that a three-storey building collapsed in Gurugram on Sunday. Also Read | Confirmed! As per the sources, the bodies of Pradeep Sharma and Tiny Bhardwaj were pulled out of the debris following the 19 hours of the rescue operation. Pradeep is, currently, under treatment at a civil hospital. Those three who lost their lives were working in a neighbouring warehouse. They were living in the building which was in a dilapidated condition. Taking action into the matter, the police has registered a case against the company owner and manager for negligence. However, no one has been arrested so far. On Monday, Gurugram witnessed waterlogging and traffic congestion across the city as heavy rains continued in Haryana. -PTC News
