Hasin Jahan on arrest warrant issued against Mohammed Shami in Domestic Violence Case
As Kolkata’s Alipore Court on Monday has issued an arrest warrant against India pacer Mohammed Shami in Domestic Violence Case, wife Hasin Jahan thanks judicial system. Hasin Jahan said, "I'm grateful to judicial system. I have been fighting for justice for more than a year now. You all know, Shami thinks that he is all too powerful, that he is a big cricketer. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1168800136132055040 Also, Hasin Jahan said, "Had I not been from West Bengal, had Mamata Banerjee not been our Chief Minister, I wouldn't have been able to live safely here. Amroha (Uttar Pradesh) police were trying to harass me and my daughter, it was God's grace that they didn't succeed". Meanwhile, the court has issued the warrant under sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 406 (criminal breach of trust). Currently, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) is going to discuss with the Board of Cricket Council in India (BCCI), if Mohammed Shami should be taken for India’s upcoming home Test series against South Africa. -PTC News
