HC issues notice to Punjab government on plea of Phagwara MLA Som Parkash
The Punjab and Haryana high court on Tuesday issued a notice to the Punjab government on a petition filed by Phagwara MLA Som Parkash.

The petitioner in its petition sought quashing of Right to Education Rules in Punjab. The petitioner moved to HC challenging unreasonable restrictions on getting admission into private unaided schools by childrens of economically weaker sectionsand disadvantaged groups. The petitioner challenged that , not even a single such children of EWS sections is getting admission against 25% quota in Punjab schools.
