Panchayat Election: HC refuses to give relief to PB govt on rechecking of nomination papers The Punjab and Haryana Government refused to give any relief to the Punjab government on rechecking of nomination papers. High court further said that the bench has taken this decision, and only it can amend its decision. The case is adjourned for 7 January. Earlier, more than 100 petitions were filed against the mass rejection of nomination papers for the posts of panch and sarpanch in Punjab and Haryana high court. Following which the Vacation Bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday asked the authorities to pass fresh orders on the nominations. The court sets a 48-hour-deadline for the same.
