Heavy Rain Alert In Uttarakhand, MeT department Says, Avoid Mountain Roads The Meteorological (MeT) department have issued a heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand on Monday. The alert has been issued for the week. According to the Meteorological Department, Uttarakhand is likely to receive heavy showers on July 25, July 26 and July 27. After the MeT department has issued the alert, the Uttarakhand’s State Disaster Management also issued an advisory to all the district magistrates to remain on high alert. The district magistrates are asked to ensure a high level of precaution; safety and traffic are maintained by the State Disaster Management. The India Meteorological Development (IMD) has also issued a heavy rain alert in the state on July 21. The IMD had suggested the people should avoid mountain roads. -PTC NEWS
