As many as 44 people were killed and nearly 30 were injured as bus fell into the gorge near Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jairam Thakur has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident. It was a private bus which fell into a gorge carrying 70 people. The bus plunged into a 500-feet deep gorge near the Dhoth Morh in Banjar tehsil of the district. The private bus was on its way to Gada Gushani, which is about 60km from Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1141998869787496458 As per reports, Kullu Police chief Shalini Agnihotri said that the authorities launched a rescue operation immediately after the incident took place. Also, those injured were rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the accident. PMO in a tweet said and I quote, "Deeply saddened by the bus accident in Kullu. Condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. I hope the injured recover soon. The Himachal Pradesh Government is providing all possible assistance that is required: PM @narendramodi". https://twitter.com/PMOIndia/status/1141720173440901120 Likewise, Himachal Pradesh Governor and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also expressed grief to the kins of those who passed away and Chief Minister ordered a magisterial inquiry into the matter. Most of the victims were the residents of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, the district administration has announced an immediate relief of Rs 50,000 each to the kins of those who lost their lives in the incident and those injured too. -PTC News-
