Himachal Pradesh: Office of the District Magistrate has announced that all the All educational institutions will remain closed on Monday amid Heavy rainfall in Kullu and Shimla. The letter says, “Due to heavy rains and incidents of landslides in the region, all private and government educational institutions in the district will remain closed on 19 August, i.e. Monday.

Amid heavy rainfall, there are several landslides incidents that are taking place in Himachal Pradesh. The heavy rainfall is pouring down in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, AND Chandigarh, where the rains are making people suffer.

A truck rolled down a gorge on National Highway-3 in Kallor area of Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Meanwhile, a rescue operation is still underway. Likewise, severe waterlogging conditions were witnessed at the parking area near Panchvaktra Temple in Mandi. Also, a house was collapsed in Himachal Pradesh, where one person is feared trapped under debris, while three persons have been rescued. The rescue operation is underway, here as well. Also, fresh snowfall erupted in higher reaches of Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti.

Likewise, a portion of the bridge over Beas river in Akhara Bazaar area of Kullu town collapses after the water level in the river increases due to heavy rainfall in the region. Similarly, the movement of vehicular traffic has been stopped near Chamba bus stand after a portion of the road was damaged due to the continuous heavy rainfall. Also, the portion of the road in Balichowki area of Mandi district was damaged due to continuous rainfall in the area.
