Himachal Pradesh's Baddi among 9 places for pilot launch of Sputnik V vaccine
Sputnik V Commercial Launch: Himachal Pradesh's Baddi is among nine cities where the limited pilot launch of the Russian Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V will be extended with preparations in the final stages soon. After a successful pilot in Hyderabad, the pilot launch of the Russian Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V, to test cold storage at minus 18 degrees, and other logistics were being extended to Baddi and eight other cities. Also Read | CBSE Class 12 result 2021 to be decided on basis of performance in Class 10, 11 & 12 "The Sputnik V vaccine will be available in 9 more cities across India, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Baddi, Kolhapur, and Miryalaguda," Sputnik V tweeted. It may be recalled that the limited pilot launch of the Sputnik V started in Hyderabad on May 14. It is now being extended to 9 cities. Being a limited pilot, the registration on COWIN will not be allowed but the doses would become available once the shot is commercially launched. The company stated that it would allow them to test cold storage arrangements at minus 18 degrees in these nine cities apart from COWIN integration, track and trace, and other logistical requirements ahead of our commercial launch.
