Hockey 5s World Cups for men, women in 2023: The International Hockey Federation has finally decided to move ahead in Hockey 5s by proposing to hold its World Cups, both for men and women in 2023. It proposes a 16-team World Cup event, both for men and women, separately, and has decided to invite bids from the member units for hosting the inaugural event. The FIH Executive Board last year decided to create an FIH Hockey 5s World Cup, with a view to further boosting the development of hockey globally through the promotion of its 5-a-side format. This is good for the overall growth of our sport.
