A pair of goals each by skipper Rani and penalty corner specialist Gurjit Kaur helped India notch up an impressive 4-1 win over hosts Spain in the fifth and final Test to square the series 2-2.
On Saturday, Spain had drubbed India 4-1 to take 2-1 lead as the second Test had ended i.n a 1-1 draw.
So at the end of the current 5-match series, both Spain and India have four wins each while the remaining four games have ended in draws.
After a barren first half, it was skipper Rani who with her good stick work and good moves put India ahead in the 33rd minute and followed it up with another brilliant field goal in the 37th minute.
Before the end of third quarter, penalty corner specialist Gurjit Kaur chipped in with her second goal of the series. In the fourth and final quarter, she was called again to take another penalty corner from which she again made no mistake to score her second goal of the match and third of the series.
Lola Reira, who had four goals, including two of penalty corners in first four games, emerged as the top scorer of the series with a neat penalty corner conversion a minute before the final whistle to make the score (1-4) little respectful for the hosts.
Indian team was in Spain as a part of its preparation for the Vitality World Cup and the Asian Games later this year.
