IAF chief Dhanoa: casualty figure in air strike can only be given by government
Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa on Monday said that the IAF aircraft had hit their target in the Balakot Air Strike in Pakistan, but he could not comment on the causalities.

While briefing the media, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa said that the casualty figure in the air strike could only be given by the government. He further said that the death toll depends on the number of people present at the time of the attack. And also that IAF didn’t count the number of the dead.

While expressing his happiness on the return of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, he said that all the required treatment would be given to him.

He also told that the Indian Air Forces doesn’t take chances with the medical fitness of a pilot. If Abhinandan is found fit, he will fly the fighter jet.
