ICSE board exam 2021: ICSE council cancels Class 10 board exams
ICSE board exam 2021: The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) on Tuesday cancelled Class 10 board exams in the wake of the COVID-19 situation in India.
Besides announcing the cancellation of Class 10 board exams, the board stated that the status of exams for class 12 remains the same as the previous order. Class 12 Exams (offline) will be conducted at a later date.

It came days after the ISCE Council postponed its ICSE board exam 2021 for Class 10 and 12 in the wake of the "worsening" Covid-19 situation in India. Several parents and students had requested the board to cancel exams.
The board stated in a circular that "The safety and wellbeing of our students and teaching faculty is our topmost priority and of paramount interest."

The new dates for ISC Class 12 exams will be announced later in June. While exams for Class 12 students later would be held later, the Class 10 students would be allowed to opt-out.
The ICSE board on Tuesday cancelled Class 10 exams as the country is witnessing record daily new cases in the second and more deadly wave of Covid-19. On Tuesday, India recorded over 2 lakh cases for the sixth consecutive day.
It is pertinent to mention that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also cancelled examinations for Class 10 students while the exams for Class 12 students have been postponed.
