IIFA Awards 2019: Alia Bhatt bags Best Actress, Ranveer Singh clinches Best Actor title

Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Aditi Rao Hydari, Ishaan Khatter, Sara Ali Khan and others shone at the 20th edition of IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) awards.

Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi got the Best Film award and Bhatt bagged the Best Actress title for her performance in the film. Ranveer Singh won the Best Actor award for his characterization of Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat.

The Best Director award went to Sriram Raghavan. Vicky Kaushal, who also features in Raazi, won the best supporting actor award for his character in Sanju – the Sanjay Dutt biopic.

Aditi Rao Hydari won the best supporting actress award for her role in Padmaavat. Sara Ali Khan, who made her debut in Kedarnath, received the Best Debut Actress award and Ishan Khatter won the best Debut Actor Award for the film, Dhadak.

Best Music Direction – Amaal Mallik, Guru Randhawa, Rochak Kohli, Saurabh-Vaibhav and Zack Knight (Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety)

Best Lyrics – Amitabh Bhattacharya (Dhadak)

Best Playback Singer (Female) – Harshdeep Kaur and Vibha Saraf (Dilbaro from Raazi)

Best Playback Singer (Male) – Arijit Singh for (Ae Watan from Raazi)

Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema – Saroj Khan and Jagdeep
