IMD weather report: Punjab may see rainfall in 48 hours

IMD Punjab Weather Report: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Thursday predicted rainfall over Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh during the next 48 hours. Giving weather report, IMD stated that light to moderate rainfall (1-3cm) is likely to commence from the evening or night of April 15 from Northern and western parts of Punjab. It is likely to cover few parts of Punjab and Haryana including Chandigarh during the subsequent 48 hours. Meanwhile, the IMD predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning, gusty winds (wind speed 30-40 kph), and hail over the isolated parts of districts in northern and eastern Punjab and western and northern Haryana during this spell. While giving a 5-day rainfall forecast, the IMD stated that light to moderate rain was likely at few places on April 15 and 16 in Punjab while the light was likely at isolated places on April 17 and dry thereafter. IMD Punjab Weather Report: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rainfall over Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. Simultaneously, the department also issued a 5-day weather warning. It stated that thunderstorms and lightning with gusty winds (40-50 kmph) and hail likely at an isolated place on April 15 and 16 in Punjab. Likewise, thunderstorms and lightning with gusty winds (30-40 kmph) were likely at isolated places in the state on April 17 while no prediction has been made for April 18-19.
