Implement farm laws to set train services restored, Piyush Goyal tells Punjab Congress leader
Farm Laws 2020: Congress MP Ravneet Bittu along with other Congress MPs on Thursday met Railways Minister Piyush Goyal seeking restoration of the movement for goods trains services in Punjab. The Central government had suspended the movement of trains services in the wake of farmers protest in the state. After meeting Railways Minister Piyush Goyal, Congress MP Ravneet Bittu said that the government is behaving like a dictator. Ravneet Bittu further said that "Piyush Goyal told us that only your state is opposing the farm laws 2020. You have made people sit up on tracks, now you will take the train for coal and other things, then you will stop them." Bittu said that Goyal told them that "The whole country follows what Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, how can you oppose it." -PTC News
