In talks with Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson; be assured everyone will get vaccine: Centre
COVID-19 vaccination: The Central government on Wednesday said that a plan was ready to vaccinate the entire eligible population of the country by the end of the year to contain the spread of coronavirus. Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy said that the government was in discussions with Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson.
The MoS for Home G Kishan Reddy said that the government was expecting 250 crore vaccine doses to be available by December 2021.

He said that the government was in discussions with Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson as well.

"Govt has made action plans to vaccinate all by end of December (2021) and for production of 250 cr vaccine doses after speaking to several pharma companies," he said, adding that "Sputnik arrived in Hyderabad on Tuesday while discussions were on to get Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson too.
"India stands third compared to other countries, in terms of vaccinating its citizens. We have simplified import rules so private hospitals can import vaccines. The vaccination drive will run for the next 7-8 months. Be assured that everyone will get the vaccine," she added.
On the other hand, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that to save the powerless and voiceless, to see hope in these darkest of hours, this is one chance, one moment, to forge open collaborations and reaffirm the fundamental truth, that the world is one.
"Vaccines for health must go to the affluent as well those without wealth," he added.
