Income of farmers will double with enactment of farm laws 2020: Rajnath Singh
Amid farmers protest, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that the income of farmers will double with the enactment of farm laws 2020.
He said that "It takes some time to see the impact of comprehensive reforms. I appeal to farmers to see changes in the next one and a half years. Otherwise, we can improve them (laws) through talks."

Furthermore, talking about the farm laws 2020, Rajnath Singh said that "It was unfortunate that those who don't even know about farming, are misleading innocent farmers."
"This govt never intended to stop MSP, neither it will in the future. Mandis will also be maintained. No 'Mai Ka Lal' can take away land from farmers," he added.

On completion of 3 years of BJP government in Himachal Pradesh, Rajnath Singh said "When UPA was in power at Center, Himachal Pradesh received only Rs 22,000 crores. When Modi govt came to power, we gave 3 times more, considering the economy of Himachal Pradesh, not its size."
The statements came during Rajnath's address to the people of Himachal Pradesh via video-conference on the completion of 3 years of Jai Ram Thakur-led BJP govt in the state.
"CM Jai Ram Thakur has successfully run the govt for 3 yrs. I congratulate people of Himachal," he said.
