Income Tax officials 'survey' premises linked to actor Sonu Sood in Mumbai
Tax evasion: Officials of the Income Tax Department on Wednesday 'surveyed' premises linked to actor Sonu Sood in Mumbai and some other places, official sources said.
As per reports, action is being carried out in at least six locations in the metropolitan city and Lucknow. It was not immediately clear if the 'survey' was also being carried out at actor Sonu Sood’s residence. A real estate deal is under the scanner of the Income Tax Department, the sources said.

The actor hogged the limelight for helping migrants during the nationwide lockdown last year amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
"A recent deal between Sonu Sood's company and a Lucknow-based real estate firm is under the scanner. The survey operation has been initiated on the allegations of tax evasion on this deal," sources in the Income Tax Department said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had recently declared actor Sonu Sood as the brand ambassador for his government's mentorship programme for school students.
