IND vs AUS Sydney Test: After Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah were racially abused by notorious Australian fans in the Sydney Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Sunday urged the apex boards of cricket to probe the unfortunate incident with seriousness. Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Virat Kohli shared a thread opening up about facing racial abuse while representing Team India on the international circuit. "Racial abuse is absolutely unacceptable. Having gone through many incidents of really pathetic things said on the boundary Iines, this is the absolute peak of rowdy behaviour. It's sad to see this happen on the field," Kohli tweeted. "The incident needs to be looked at with absolute urgency and seriousness and strict action against the offenders should set things straight for once," he added. Virat Kohli's reaction comes after Indian cricketers Jasprit Bumrah and youngster Mohammed Siraj were allegedly racially abused by a drunk spectator during the third day of the IND vs AUS Sydney Test. Meanwhile, ICC said in a statement that "Under the ICC Anti-Discrimination policy, Cricket Australia will now be required to investigate the issue and provide a report to the ICC on the incident and any action taken to ensure the issue has been dealt with appropriately." Likewise, Cricket Australia has launched an inquiry into the incident. On Day 4 of the ongoing Test match, Siraj along with Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane had a discussion with umpire Paul Reiffel about the behaviour of the fans at the SCG.
