Inderjit Singh Zira Death: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday condoled the sad demise of Senior Congress Leader and former Cabinet Minister Inderjit Singh Zira (63), who passed away at a private hospital in Mohali on Wednesday morning after a prolonged illness due to Cancer.

Zira is survived by his wife and two sons.

Inderjit Singh Zira Death: Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh condoled the sad demise of Senior Congress Leader.

Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with Zira’s elder son Kulbir Singh Zira, the Congress sitting MLA from Zira Assembly Constituency, Captain Amarinder Siingh said, “With the death of Inderjit Singh Zira, a void had been created within the party circles, which is difficult to be filled.”

On Inderjit Singh Zira’s death, Captain Amarinder Singh described him as a fine human being with the qualities of head and heart beside a gentleman politician, who worked relentlessly for the welfare of all sections of the society especially the farmers and farmworkers to safeguard their interests.

He added that his outstanding services towards the overall development of the Malwa region would ever be remembered by one and all.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family members, relatives, and friends to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief.
