India accepts Pakistan's offer for consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav, says Government sources

India on Monday has accepted Pakistan's offer for the consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav. Meanwhile, Government sources revealed that "India's Charge d'affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia, will be meeting Kulbhushan Jadhav. We hope that Pakistan will ensure the right atmosphere so that the meeting is free, fair, meaningful and effective in keeping with the letter and spirit of the ICJ's orders", news agency ANI reported. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1168386824667983874 Former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav was illegally abducted by Pakistan from Iran. Jadhav was sentenced to death following the charges of terrorism by the military court in April 2017. Likewise, India challenged the decision of Military court in the  International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague. Prior to the request, ICJ gave a stay over the execution Jadhav and asked Pakistan to review the death sentence. Likewise, India's Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan, Gaurav Ahluwalia has reached Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to meet Kulbhushan Jadav. Meanwhile, the meeting between India's Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan, Gaurav Ahluwalia and Ministry of Foreign Affairs's (MoFA) Mohammad Faisal is underway. More Details Awaited. -PTC News
