Indian Army says contents of video showing India-China clash ‘not authenticated’

Indian Army on Sunday said that the contents of video, showing clash between Indian and Chinese troops on the borders, doing rounds on social media aren't authenticated. In a statement, the Indian Army stated that "The attempt to link it with situation on Northern borders is malafide. Currently, no violence is happening." The Indian Army also said that the differences are being addressed through the interaction between the military commanders, guided by established protocols on management of borders between the two countries. We strongly condemn attempts to sensationalise issues impacting national security, Indian Army stated. Army spokesperson Colonel Aman Anand said that the media is requested to stop airing the visuals that are likely to vitiate the current situation on the borders. india china 2 As per the report, the video shows a clash between the Chinese troops, who arrived in a vehicle and Indian troops consisting of army men and Indo-Tibetan Police Force personnel. China’s state-run media had described the latest tensions as the worst since the Doklam standoff in 2017 that lasted for almost 73 days.
