India extends ban on international commercial passenger flights to and from India

The Government of India on Monday extended the ban on international commercial passenger flights to and from India till September 31, barring exceptions mentioned in the order. publive-image The Government in a letter stated that in partial modification of the circular dated August 26, the competent authority has further extended the validity of the circular issued regarding scheduled international commercial passenger services to and from India till September 30.

publive-imageIt added that the restriction would not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). However, the International Scheduled flights may be allowed on the selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis. The coronavirus pandemic has hit the world especially the economy. International flights have been put on hold ever since the coronavirus made its appearance in India.
