Rohit Sharma ruled out of ODI and Test series against New Zealand
India's ODI and Test squad for New Zealand: Indian opener Rohit Sharma also known as Hitman has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI and the Test series against New Zealand. Hitman sustained a left calf muscle strain during the fifth T20I against New Zealand at Bay Oval on Sunday. He underwent an MRI scan in Hamilton on Monday.

Rohit will be referred to the National Cricket Academy for further management of his injury. Meanwhile, Mayank Agarwal has been named as his replacement in the ODI squad. For New Zealand, Kane Williamson has been ruled out of the first two ODIs. Meanwhile, Tom Latham will lead the side in his absence, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) confirmed.
Mark Chapman has been named as the replacement of Williamson for the first two ODIs. Kane Williamson was injured during the third T20 match at Wellington last week. Tim Southee led Kiwis in his absence during fourth and last T20.
New Zealand lost the T20 series 0-5 against India. Also, India became the first side to whitewash New Zealand in a five-match bilateral T20 series. Now, India will take on New Zealand in first ODI at Seddon Park, Hamilton on Wednesday.
