The Indian cricket team has slipped to the second spot after losing the fourth ODI in Bengaluru on Thursday. With a huge total of 334 runs India had won previous nine ODI matches and fell short of 21 runs, missed out on setting longest ODI winning streak for India. India slip to number two spot in ICC team rankings after losing 4th ODI against Australia Australia after winning the toss had elected to bat first on the back of openers David Warner (124) and Aaron Finch’s (94) record-breaking 231-run opening stand, didn’t give any leeway to the Indian bowling line-up. India kick started outstanding as openers Rohit Sharma (65) and Ajinkya Rahane (53) added 106 runs for the first wicket. The hosts will have another shot at the number one spot in the fifth and final ODI of the series, which is scheduled to be played in Nagpur on Sunday, October 1. While a 4-1 scoreline will have India going on top again, a win for Australia will help them finish the ODI series on a high before engaging in a three-match T20I series against the same opposition starting October 6. -PTC News-
