India to resume scheduled commercial international flights from December 15

Covid-19: India is all set to resume scheduled commercial international flights from December 15 after the coronavirus-induced suspension, the Union Aviation Ministry informed on Friday. The Civil Aviation Ministry, in a statement, said based on the countries recognised as "at-risk" by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the countries have been divided into three categories with separate capacity restrictions. Details here Social media[/caption] Also read | 15 more nations recognise India’s Covid vaccines: MEA The statement added that the matter of the resumption of scheduled commercial international passenger services had been examined in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. “The matter of resumption of scheduled commercial international passenger services to and from India has been examined in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and it has been decided that scheduled commercial international passenger services to and from India may be resumed from December 15, 2021,” the statement read.
