India to supply 5 lakh doses of coronavirus vaccine to Canada

After Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called Prime Minister Narendra Modi for coronavirus vaccine, India has reportedly approved supply of half-a-million doses of Covishield vaccine for Canada. The Indian government also decided to supply coronavirus vaccine to armies of Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and other neighbouring countries. The jabs will be distributed by the Indian Army to the neighbour countries. The supply and delivery of Astra-Zeneca coronavirus vaccine Covishield to Canada is in the process, a report stated, adding that the request from Ottawa was approved last week. The vaccine supply to Canada was approved after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called up PM Modi on February 10. Image result for vaccine The Canadian PM discussed vaccine supplies with PM Modi where he assured safety and security for the Indian diplomats and diaspora, who were being targeted by the separatists based in Toronto and Vancouver. As per the report, the Indian envoys in Ottawa and Vancouver were targeted by some separatists under the garb of farmers' protests against the farm laws. However, no action has been taken against the identified culprits by Indian High Commission taken even as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is investigating the case. -PTC News
