India vs South Africa 2nd Test Day 1: After India won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test at Pune on Thursday, the hosts are in a strong position. With Mayank Agarwal’s devastating century and half-centuries by Cheteshwar Pujara and skipper Virat Kohli, India is having an advantage, as it has scored 273 runs for 3 wickets. Rohit Sharma (14) failed to continue the form at Pune, and Mayank got dismissed on 108.

Likewise, Cheteshshwar Pujara went back to the pavilion after scoring 58 runs. Now, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane are on the crease and will continue on day 2 of the Pune Test. Virat Kohli is looking confident with the bat and the team is expected to score big again. For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada was the man, who claimed all the three wickets individually. Also, he has been an economical bowler as he gave just 66 runs off 24 overs bowled by him.
Proteas are trying their best to restrict Team India early, in an order to avoid the huge score. In the previous Test match at Vishakhapatnam, India scored 502-7 in the first innings, and if it happens again, then it will be a hurdle in the way of Proteas.
