India vs South Africa 2nd Test: After scripting victory in the first Test at Vishakhapatnam, the hosts are all set to take on Proteas in the second Test at Pune, on Thursday. Rohit Sharma, Mayank Aggarwal, R Ashwin and Sir Jadeja were exceptional at Vishakhapatnam, and likewise, they are expected to continue the same at Pune. Despite phenomenal performance by Quinton De Kock and Dean Elgar at Pune, South Africa suffered the defeat in the first Test, and hence it would like to bounce back at Pune. Interestingly, the ground was rated ‘poor’ by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2017. Weather prediction: An afternoon thunderstorm is forecasted on all the five days of the second Test match. Since there’s a very slight tinge of green on the wicket, the teams will be playing on a flat-track.

Well, India is having a bunch of impact players, as Ravindra Jadeja’s variation with the ball is just amazing. Cheteshwar Pujara is known to play on such tracks, where the pitch favors batting side the most. Shami is also the man who can ask difficult questions from the Proteas. South Africa: Dean Elgar, who did his job really well earlier in the first Test, along with the wicket-keeper Quinton De Kock. Therefore, these two are the impact players for Proteas. Also, Kagiso Rabada, who was an economical bowler for the team, doesn’t give many runs, instead he loves to bag wickets. Skipper Faf du Plessis and Temba Bavuma, the Test specialists could be the threat on a track like Pune.
