India vs West Indies 2nd Test Day 1 Highlights: Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and opener Mayank Agarwal put India in a strong position, as both of them scored 76 and 55, respectively. Windies won the toss and elected to field first, but this time the decision backfired, it seems. In the previous test at Antigua, Roston Chase was dominating the Indian side, but in Jamaica, it was just skipper Jason Holder, who dismissed three batsmen – KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Virat Kohli.
Also, Holder bowled 20 overs out of which he gave just 39 runs, the impactful bowling by the Windies Skipper. On the other hand, KL Rahul was dismissed earler, and therefore, Virat Kohli and Mayank Agarwal led the side from the front. However, Mayank again failed to convert his start into the mammoth, as he got dismissed by Holder. Likewise, Virat Kohli wasn’t able to convert his half-century into the ton, as he too got dismissed by Holder.
Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane couldn’t show the highlights of Antigua at Jamaica and went back to the pavilion, after the dismissal by Kemar Roach. Cheteshwar Pujara, who is said to be the wall of Indian Test cricket Team, failed at Antigua and in the first innings at Jamaica as well. However, the game isn’t over for Team India, as Hanuma Vihari is currently playing on 42 runs, along with the wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Panth, who is currently on 27 runs.
