Indian Army opens fire on two drones seen hovering over Ratnuchak-Kaluchak military areas
Jammu and Kashmir: Indian Army troops on Monday opened fire at two drones found hovering over the Ratnuchak-Kaluchak military areas, a defense spokesperson said. It comes a day after two drones dropped bombs at the Indian Air Force station.
According to the information, a drone was spotted at 11.45 pm on Sunday while the other one was found hovering at 2.40 am on Monday. The drones "flew away" after alert Indian Army sentries fired at them.

Meanwhile, a high alert was announced immediately after the Quick Reaction Teams engaged the drones with firing, said the Jammu-based Army PRO Lt Col Devender Anand.

He said that both drones flew away as a major threat was thwarted by the alertness of troops following an attack on the Indian Air Force station. Also, he said that the security forces have been put on a high alert in Jammu and Kashmir while a search operation was in progress.
The official sources had, earlier, said that the sentries swiftly opened fire after noticing the drones to bring them down.
The whole area outside the military station was cordoned off immediately. Likewise, a massive search operation was underway when the reports came in.
However, nothing objectionable was found on the ground, the sources revealed.
