Exercising India’s right to reply against Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech, First secretary, MEA, Vidisha Maitra asserted that citizens of India do not need anyone to speak on their behalf. “The mainstreaming of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Ladakh, in India’s thriving and vibrant democracy with a millennia old heritage of diversity, pluralism and tolerance is well and truly underway. Speaking for about 50 minutes, mostly on the Kashmir issue, he warned that the consequences of a full-scale confrontation between the two countries would spill beyond their borders.
