India’s Agni-5 missile test-fired
India’s indigenously-developed intercontinental surface-to-surface nuclear ballistic missile, AGNI-5 was test-fired in Monday from Odisha. They were test-fired from Abdul Kalam Island on Odisha Coast.

According to the Defense Ministry, the missile has a strike range of over 5,000 kms. It will balance India with China’s military strength.

The Defense Ministry further told that the missile has a payload capacity of 1,500 kg of high-explosives. Once these missiles are introduced in the Indian military, India will be able to join the exclusive club of countries like Russia, China, Britain and France and the US. All these countries have intercontinental ballistic missile capabilities.
