Indonesian flight Carrying 188 passengers crashes Into Sea minutes after takeoff An Indonesian flight, carrying 188 passengers crashed into the sea shortly after taking off from Jakarta on Monday morning. The Lion Air Flight was flying to Pangkal Pinang, Sumatra. The plane was Boring 737 Max 8 model. At 6:33 am, the plane lost control with the air traffic controller, 13 minutes after taking off. Country’s transport minister has confirmed the crash. He has ordered the search and rescue operation. The Flightradar are downloading and processing the entire data that was transmitted by the aircraft. Indonesia’s disaster agency spokesman posted a video of some debris on Twitter:

According to the media reports, the aircraft was carrying 188 passengers in total. Out of which, 178 were adults, one child, two babies, five flight attendants, and two pilots. A tugboat identified the downed plane. The tugboat reported that the plane approached the sea at 7:15 am. The crew of the tugboat saw the debris of the plane.
