Industrial production growth slows to a five month low in March
Industrial production growth for the month of March slowed down to 4.4 per cent, compared to February's 7.1 per cent. IIP numbers for the month of March were much lower than expected, it was estimated to be at 5.9 per cent. It is a disappointing number and possible the manufacturing growth has come down in March, Soumya Kanti Ghosh, Group Chief Economic Advisor at State Bank of India said. India's annual infrastructure output growth slowed to a three-month low of 4.1 percent in March, due to by slower growth in coal, steel and electricity production, according to government data. -PTC News
