Infant among 9 killed in Greater Noida building collapse The death toll from a collapsed apartment block in Greater Noida’s Shahberi village rose to nine on Thursday as emergency workers pulled four more bodies, official said. Rescue operations were still on in the Shahberi village, an official said. A 14-month-old infant, Pankhuri, is among those killed in the building collapse. Five other victims have been identified: Priyanka Dwivedi (26), of Mainpuri, Shamshad (25), of Faizabad, Ranjeet Bhimali (30), from West Bengal, Raj Kumar (50) and Shiv Trivedi (28). Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the victims. The District Magistrate of Gautambuddh Nagar (Noida) has ordered a magisterial probe and cases have been filed against two dozen people and four accused. -PTC News
