Havoc wreaked by Corona pandemic notwithstanding, many International Sports Federations (ISFs), including the parental body – International Olympic Committee – have continued to perform their mandatory or statutory duties and functions.

While the IOC and the ISFs are still trying to work out modalities for holding the postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in July-August 2021, other sports bodies are busy in working their way out of the corona pandemic.

Efforts are being made to revive sports activity by taking all necessary or mandatory precautions. Still, restrictions and even the waning confidence of players and officials are coming in the way of early revival of sports activity at all levels.

The International Olympic Committee is holding its Executive Board meeting where a number of important issues are being discussed. Interestingly, the 136th Session of the Internfollowing the proposal of the EB on 10 June. International Olympic Committee (IOC), the first-ever Session to be held by videoconference, has elected Mr John D. Coates and Mr Sen Miang Ng as Vice-Presidents, and Mkikaela Cojuangco Jaworski and Mr Gerardo Werthein as Members of its Executive Board (EB). The Session also elected five new members
