International Women's Day: Women lead farmers' protest at Delhi borders

International Women's Day: It's been more than 100 days and the farmers continue to camp at Delhi borders raising their voices against the farm laws 2020. As announced by Samyukta Kisan Morcha, the farmers are observing Women’s Day at the Delhi border where women are running the stage and leading the farmers' protest on Monday. Farmer unions initiated a door-to-door campaign and held talks in villages and towns to mobilise women for a massive rally at the Tikri border. Women have already protested in an agitation against the farm laws at the borders of Delhi. Thus, the women activists, in huge a number, under the banner of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha travelled in buses, tractor-trolleys and other vehicles to reach Delhi borders. From taking over the stage to sharing tales of their struggles, and the significance of farmers’ protest, thousands of women farmers, students and activists led the front at the Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur protest sites on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Monday.
