IPL 2020: Rajasthan Royals Fielding Coach Dishant Yagnik Coronavirus

IPL 2020: The fielding coach of Rajasthan Royals, Dishant Yagnik, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Yagnik took to Twitter to confirm the news.

Dishant Yagnik tweeted: “Hi all, I have tested COVID +. Please get tested if you have been in contact with me in the last 10 days. In line with the BCCI protocols, I will be now quarantining for 14 days. I will then need 2 negative tests before joining the team Rajasthan Royals in UAE. Thanks for your blessings and good wishes!”

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is scheduled to take place in the UAE from September 19 to November 10.

Meanwhile, the franchise said in a statement that “Rajasthan Royals would like to inform that their fielding coach Dishant Yagnik has tested positive for COVID-19.”

As per the report, he underwent corona testing keeping in mind the team members need to assemble in Mumbai next week for flight to the UAE.

Currently, Yagnik is in his hometown Udaipur. He has been advised to get admitted to a hospital for the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
