IPL 2020 Title Sponsorship: Amazon leading race, BYJU’s and Dream11 also among contenders
IPL 2020 Title Sponsorship: In a major jolt to the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Chinese firm VIVO decided to withdraw the title sponsorship following the India China standoff.
VIVO's exit also took away around INR 440 crore from the BCCI. However, the board is hopeful of striking a good deal considering the likes of Amazon, Unacademy and MyCircle11 are in the race for IPL title sponsorship.
As per the report, the market experts say e-commerce and e-learning companies will lead the way. One analyst also claimed that the IPL can provide the kind of push that Amazon could need as Diwali directly follows the final on November 10.
It is also been touted that the deal will come cheap as compared to the Vivo contract. The names of Byju's and Unacademy have also surfaced as bidders while the fantasy sports platforms like Dream11 and MyCircle11 are also in the race.

The Indian Premier League’s Governing Council received official clearance from the Indian government to host IPL 2020 in the UAE. It also approved the COVID 19 replacements during the tournament which is scheduled to be held in the UAE. IPL 2020 is set to be played on September 19 while the final will be played on November 10.
